Omen Laptop 15-ek0xxx

I have tried everything to get this to show up, I have updated the drivers, the bios. Gsync is not enabled (I get a lot of screen tearing, and the Nvidia Gsync demo will not allow me to select Gsync, on my home PC which has a gsync monitor it allows me to select it because it's working properly).

I have spoken to support who clearly do not know about the problem or how to solve it. I was told 'dont worry its already automatically enabled' (It isn't).

The screen is recognised by windows as a generic monitor, there is no option in Nvidia control panel to enable Gsync. I have trawled the internet and some people have had this issue before on the older models.

Can anyone help please

Thanks

Should add I've now tried rolling back Windows updates, completely restoring windows. The graphics settings in Omen centre are set to discrete, the Advanced setting of the displays settings is showing the laptop display is connected to the 2070maxq and not the Intel UHD so it isn't that. Ive updated the bios. There really isn't anything left for me to try and I'm now wondering if HP are misselling their laptops and the Gsync is only for external monitors. I can't see it because the 2060 version makes no mention of Gsync and that could technically link to an external monitor as well, and the data sheet for my model clearly states it has Gsync.

This is the exact model https://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=3F854EA&opt=ABU&sel=NTB&lang=en-GB&pup_e=1&pup_ci...

Can someone from HP at least confirm this is a Gsync screen? Thanks

Hello, have you managed to find anything out regards this, at the least it would be good to know if the Gsync is just not working, or if HP are false advertising. I only have ten more days to return it and I don't want keep it if they've said it's Gsync, thanks again.
