OMEN 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop PC 15-ek1000 CTO
Microsoft Windows 11

For the past month, I've been experiencing a strange issue where my laptop would be left alone for about 10-15 minutes, then when I return, it will be on the lock screen. I type in my PIN and everything is closed with Wallpaper Engine tells me that it was shut down unexpectedly. I tried looking around for other forums, and I did a few other things that people have recommended, which were:

- Updating BIOS.

- Running chkdsk in CMD.

- Checking for updates on Windows.

- Disabling auto-restart under System and Security > System > Advanced system settings > Startup and Recovery.

- Factory resetting my laptop.

One thing that stuck out to me was that the issue started occurring when I started using an HDMI cable that caused my screen to flicker several times, then fix itself. This occurred every time I plugged it into my Omen. Upon the factory reset, I stopped using the HDMI cable for a couple hours, and I didn't have this rebooting issue. I used it again, for it to NOT flicker, but start causing my Omen to restart itself again. The laptop restarts whenever I either have the cable plugged in, or have it NOT plugged in. This was mentioned because it's when the issue began to occur.

I'm not sure if an HDMI cable is related to causing the entire system to reboot, but if I can recall it starting from a certain event, this is what I believe caused it.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

The drivers didn't work. I installed them, rebooted, then I waited and watched what would happen. Computer screen turned off and went to sleep, like it should've, but a minute later, it shut down for a moment then booted itself back up again.

Also, I tried to test the RAM with Windows Memory Diagnostic, but that found no errors.

Hi,

I disabled sleep mode, but it still didn't work. However, the laptop booted into automatic repair, which didn't happen before. I received this error:
