HP VICTUS 16.1 HINGE PROBLEM
Dear HP Community,
I am writing to highlight a significant problem with my HP Victus Laptop. Near the right hinge of the display lid, the plastic casing has started to split into two sections, as evidenced in the attached photos. This issue became apparent shortly after the warranty expired, approximately 1 year 6 to 1 year 8 months into use.
PS: This is the third time I have edited the post since the image is being removed each time.
Opening or closing the lid now produces a cracking sound and causes a noticeable gap between the hinges, sometimes resulting in air bubbles or white patches on the display. Upon researching this issue, I've found numerous reports from other HP Victus 16.1-inch users facing the exact same problem on various community forums and YouTube shorts. It's so frustrating that a guy himself repaired the laptop instead of paying a bulk amount and arguing for support for this problem.
I have attached the links to the post and YouTube shorts below for your reference:

When I contacted customer support, I was informed that this issue was unique to my device and that repairing it would incur charges to replace both hinges. However, it's clear from the community feedback that this is a widespread manufacturing flaw affecting many users, not an isolated incident. How can the same problem arise for everyone in the same place exactly after the device is out of warranty? This seems fishy. If this issue continues it will be a huge loss to the customers like us who trusted and bought HP laptops.
Given that Victus by HP is marketed as a premium series, I am disappointed by the build quality and the lack of acknowledgment from customer support regarding this common issue. It's concerning that such a critical problem emerges immediately after the warranty period, raising doubts about the laptop's overall durability.
I urge HP to acknowledge this widespread issue with the Victus model's manufacturing quality and take steps to rectify it promptly. I request a resolution that involves replacing or repairing the faulty component at no cost, considering this problem is inherent to the laptop and not due to user mishandling.
Hence I ask HP support to take prompt action on this matter and resolve this issue as soon as possible by giving free replacement.
