Hi, it didn't work. It's still happening.

However, I think I might know how this started. I often cast YouTube videos to the TV, and a while ago now I casted a livestream to the TV. It was fine for a while, but then the laptop disconnected itself from the internet while the stream was still being cast. The only way I could regain access to the internet on my laptop was to get rid of the livestream on the TV. (Even if I restarted my laptop, I could not connect to the internet as long as the stream was still running on the TV.) It did this twice, before I moved to my phone to cast the livestream instead, with no issue. This hasn't happened again since, but it was around this time that the current problem of random disconnections began and is still continuing.

I don't know if this information helps at all in figuring out what is causing the problem, but I thought I'd share just in case. Thanks.

Hello @Saskiesue

Do you have valid HP warranty ?

Check HP warranty status:

If status (date) is wrong:

Yes, it's covered under manufacturer warranty with 6 months remaining.

Hello @Saskiesue

Please contact HP Support for service check/repair and include your detailed information. There could be a technical error which is not detected by HP Diagnostics software. The wireless card must be replaced.

Kind regards

Hi all.

I have the same WiFi chip in my OMEN laptop and resolved the issues using the settings I have posted in another thread.

Refer to this thread for help.

Kind Regards,
Andrew Robinson.

Hi,

Thanks for your suggestion. I tried it but after a few days the problem occurred again, though I feel as if the frequency of the disconnections has decreased somewhat over time. I guess I'll have to send the laptop in and see what happens. Still not sure why this suddenly happened when all was fine before.

Hope this gets sorted for you soon when you contact support.
