Hello @Bobert2411
Just so you know, you cannot change the CPU or GPU in an x360 or almost any other type of laptop.
Laptops are not upgradeable like a desktop PC is.
You can however upgrade the memory and drive. Here is your manual explaining how to do so... http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05098448
I assume you are out of warranty?
Memory Module access, page 35.
You can up grade to a maximum of 16GB (2x8) sticks.
You already have 8 GB installed. You can simply install another 8 GB stick. But it should match the timings of the existing stick to ensure maximum performance in dual channel. You can see what the timings are of the existing memory by using a tool like CPUz or Speccy.
Or you could also use a web site like Crucial to find memory and drives for your model... https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP---Compaq/envy-x360-15-aq173cl
M.2 SSD access, page 38.
There is no capacity limit to adding a drive. You can replace the existing NVMe M.2 SSD with another NVMe M.2 SSD of larger capacity, then reinstall the operating system onto the new drive.
Or you could also install an additional conventional 2.5 inch Sata hard drive for storage and leave the current M.2 drive in place. It will take either 7mm or 9.5 MM drives, HDD or SSD type. But you would do best to first open the case and make sure the harness and cable are in place for adding the conventional drive. Sometimes if a unit didnt not ship with an HDD, the cable might not be in place.
If needed...
The hard drive bracket and screws are available using spare part number 856789-001.
The hard drive cable is available using spare part number 856788-001.
