Hi there,
Can anyone tell me more about the background processes of the Omen Gaming Hub, and whether it can install software on your device? A few days ago, I was using my Hp Omen as usual when it spontaneously restarted. When I looked in my event viewer to see what caused it, I noticed that Intel's XTUOCDriverService / Extreme Tuning Utility had been installed on my system. I never made an attempt to download this service myself, and it didn't come from Windows update. I'm trying to figure out where else it could have come from, and given that it's an overclocking utility, the Gaming Hub that came with my computer seems the most likely culprit. Does anyone know if Omen Gaming Hub distributes and automatically downloads this service and other software? (If it doesn't, this might be a malicious install.)
I'm running Windows 11 Home, v.21H2, build 22000.493 on an HP Omen 16
Using Omen Gaming Hub v. 1101.2202.4.0
Thanks!
