I would like to get more storage for my laptop, so that I can install more video games. I'm wondering is it possible to buy an internal storage hard drive (with more storage capacity) as an upgrade, and if so where can I buy this, how do I know which one to get, and how do I install it. If this is not possible, then I would have to get an external storage hard drive. But my only worry for an external hard drive, is would it slow down games played on it, and is there a risk that they stop working if I accidentally nudge the cable?
Thanks for any help.

@Jamie2001 , welcome to the forum.
Q: I'm wondering is it possible to buy an internal storage hard drive (with more storage capacity) as an upgrade and how do I install it.
A: Yes, it is possible. Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide for the laptop. On Pages 36 thru 38 is a list of compatible hard drives (HDD) and instructions on removing and installing them.
Q: where can I buy this, how do I know which one to get
A: Here is the description of the 1TB HDD in HP PartSurfer. It is not available from HP, but you can use the specifications to either find one online or contact one of the hard drive manufacturer's Tech Support for help with choosing the best HDD for your system. It is a 7mm drive.
