Does your laptop battery charge only when the laptop is turned off? Click here to view the solution

Hi, my HP laptop doesn't start up, the screen is black, the fans aren't responding, not even a "beep" sound is heard when I press the power button for a long time, I've tried hard-reseting it for over 10 times but it still won't start up. By the way I took care of this laptop as if it was my treasure, placed it inside a plastic bag when I don't use it and cleaned it every once in a while and now it's just gone. Please help.

@cetin007, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand how frustrating it must be when your trusted HP Victus laptop suddenly won’t power on, especially after taking such good care of it. Let’s try a few steps to diagnose and hopefully resolve the issue.

Basic Power Reset (Hard Reset)

You mentioned trying this already, but just to confirm:

  • Disconnect the AC adapter.
  • Remove any external devices (USBs, peripherals).
  • Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds.
  • Reconnect the AC adapter (without battery if removable) and try powering on.

Check Power Adapter and Charging Port

  • Ensure the power adapter LED is on when plugged in.
  • Try a different wall outlet.
  • If available, test with another compatible HP charger.

Perform a BIOS Recovery (Blind)

If the screen is black but the system is trying to start, a BIOS recovery might help:

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Press and hold Windows + B keys, then press and hold the Power button for 2-3 seconds.
  • Release the power button but continue holding Windows + B for another 10 seconds.
  • If successful, you might hear beeps and see the BIOS recovery screen.

Check for Signs of Life

  • Any LED lights (on the power button, keyboard, or charging port)?
  • Any faint fan noise or vibration?
  • If no signs of power at all, it could indicate a motherboard, power circuit, or internal hardware failure

If none of the above steps work, we suggest you please visit the nearest HP authorized service center, the service team will check and assist you.
Kindly follow this link to locate the nearest HP service center: HP® Servis Merkezi Konum Bulma - Türkiye | HP® Destek
(Select the country from the dropdown menu and enter the city name or pincode)

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
