I know they do great when you are "under warranty", but mine expired in the final of 2018. But a machine that costs at least US$1800 and just after a year of use, light use the keyboard starts to present flaws, is not aceptable. My main choice for my next laptop was the keyboard and I choose the HP Omen X because the keyboard "is stronger than the average laptops", so I thought I could use it for a long time, just like my old Acer. But nothing is so good as they say, and here I am using an small keyboard connected to this huge laptop... but again, shame on you HP.
I will attach some photos to prove the sad situation of my poor Omen X.

By the way, I couldn't wait to receive a new base keyboard (US$359 in HP support website) and was in a hurry, so I have nothing to lose and opened the my poor Omen X laptop. A few photos showing the flawed piece and the laptop disassembled.
"Warning strong images for those with a weak stomach."
PS: I am used to repair laptops and eletronic devices, so do not attempt do it if you never have done it before.
PS2: I know that I should open it in a place with better placement for the pieces, but I was really in a hurry, and I disassembled and repaired it in a few hours. Have to do some soldering to remove the good key from the "P6" and installed in a the key "A" and vice versa.screws and parts

I had to remove a lot of parts from the laptop to reach the keyboard

Mine stopped working as well. Keyboard has been replaced one time before for a broken D key. D key has broken again.
Now seeing this, and the apparant apathy HP has towards this issue, it might be an option to start a class action suit.
