I do not have display port output on my laptop hp pavilion gaming laptop 15-cx0056wm. I have purchased a 144hz monitor and i want to connect it to my laptop through a display port. What should i do? Should i buy some kind of external cable to connect it through USB type-c or HDMI. Which way will be providing better output bandwidth?

Hi:
I would purchase a HDMI to display port cable.
