Hi, so yesterday my laptop crashed suddenly and had a “boot device not found” error, the hardware diagnostics did not detect the SSD drive anymore and I tried everything from attempting to system restore (failed) to restoring BIOS default to taking apart my laptop to reconnect the SSD drive, and none of those solutions worked, so I’m going with the explanation that the SSD drive has failed on me (even though Ive only had this laptop for a year and a half. Only just out of warranty 😕 )
Does anyone know what kind of drives I would be able to fit? I was hoping there was maybe a SATA or HDD that would fit inside so that I could do one slot SATA/HDD and the other SSD.

Hi:
According to chapter 1 of the service manual, your notebook only has two M.2 slots for a NVMe SSD's, and no option to add a 2.5" SATA drive.
Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)
You will need to replace the failed NVMe SSD.
Since HP offered NVMe SSD's up to 1 TB in storage capacity, you can safely install a NVMe SSD up to 1 TB.
