Hello @whistemalo

HP doesn't implement Optimus (switchable graphics) on their laptop systems with anything higher that  GTX 1050ti.

There is no way to enable it. I'm sorry.

That I'm not sure about. Are you using a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter on it or is the headset have USB-C already?

If an adapter, that could be the culprit.

There was an excellent article by a Microsoft MVP on their forum about troubleshooting this. Take a look at his list and see if any of it helps...

Better question, why wouldn’t you want switchable graphics? It saves so much better battery life on any laptop with a dedicated graphics card. In fact I too would like to have the ability to have switchable graphics and I have the exact same laptop as the guy who started this thread. Now I understand HPs customer service sucks and I’ve wasted hours and hours battling with them. I mean it’s an easy fix to your website to make it so customers actually know what they’re buying. Being unclear, deceptive and lying about it is in fact a violation of federal law in the United States.  Compaq CQ56[edit]
