That is about all I can do for ya then. If its still dropping, you will need to contact Epics forums and see whats the latest with their issue and fixes.

Bump

Will do. The frame drops are more frequent when I try to record or stream, is that from my computers side or epics side?

HP Recommended

YOur side. You will have to drop settings in game and also depends on what you have running with the game. If your streaming on Twitch and have lots of overlays and such running, that can eat your resources.  There can be a lot of tweaking you may have to do.

Got it. Also, last question - what are the bios update supposed to do?

HP Recommended

The fixes are listed with each update in the notes on the HP drivers page for your model.

They generally will contain security updates and communication fixes for devices to work with the motherboard.

Dont forget if you are streaming a game to a website like Twitch, to set your screens resolution to 1080, not 4k in the Nvidia control panel. That way the video card isnt having so much work to do when running that screen. That will free up some resources also. You can always set it back when done.

Experimenting with settings will help find your sweet spot for streaming.

Good luck.

I set my input to 4K and output to 1080p, is that also bad for the driver?

HP Recommended

I dont know what you mean, you set the input and output on what?

HP Recommended

Since my laptop is 4K, I make it record in 4K but it then translates to 1080p for the stream

HP Recommended

Anytime you run anything at 4k, its going to eat more resources.

Usually, a lot of users record in 1080p and upscale to 4k afterward.

You will have to decide what works out best for you.
