I am afraid the HDD or the SSD are not customer replaceable parts. I just had a few things cross-checked and found that the OMEN computers are hard-wired to get the OS installed on the HDD and not the SSD. The only way to change that is to open the computer and change the hard-wire settings. The phone support team might assist you in doing so.
Hence, please contact the phone support team. You can get the phone number for the team from the below link:
Link: http://www.hp.com/contacthp
- On that page, where it says to enter my HP model number, enter your product details and click on find my product
- On the next page, it will ask you to enter your basic details and the description of the issue.
- Once you have filled that, click on show options.
- It will give you phone support option.
- Once you select that it will give you a case number and a phone number to contact.

...
Of course the hardware isnt intended for replacement by the consumer. But it has nothing to do with installing windows to SSD.
In fact there are many Omen users here on the forum who have done so. But the USB installer must be UEFI bootable and your bios has to be in UEFI mode.
If your NVMe drive is damaged, I would let HP replace it.
If HP Support will help you at this point, I would do so.
Good luck.

i dont really think hp can help me , i am not in a counry that has a HP support center. i have run a full full dignostic on this and well everything came out as working. honestly the laptop works if i was content with having the OS on the hard drive.
i understand the UEFI divice and everthing but can you tell me how do i check my Bios is UEFI bootable

Again, open your bios and reset it (F9). It will be set in UEFI Mode. In other words, taking the bios out of Legacy Mode enables UEFI.
IF the USB drive is still not being recognized in UEFI Mode, you "might" have to disable Secure Boot.
Disabling Secure Boot will require you to reboot and enter a 4 digit code to allow this to happen.
Usually disabling Secure Boot is not necessary.
All computers since Windows 8 use a UEFI bios.

yeah, did a fresh install of windows and now everything is working fine, thanks for the help man
i what the reason could for it not bootig up before, i mean it was a brand new machine, does that actually happen often??

Glad to hear its finally working.
No, its rare when this happens but I have seen other new machines have to have windows reinstalled before too.
You will want to install some of the drivers from your downloads page next.
I would install the Driver Chipsets, Keyboard mouse input drivers, HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI and some of the HP Software addon's as you would like (You wont need the HP recovery manager update).
You will especially want the HP System Event Utility installed for the F-keys to work correctly.
If you want the Omen Command Center put back, do it last. It will take some extra work to make it happen.
Let me know if you want it and I will talk you through that.
