Hey there,
Just bought an Omen 16" (16-wd0176ng) with Power Delivery function via its USB-C port (has Flash icon so should be Thunderbolt). It is advertised not only with HP Sleep & Charge but also with PD via this port.
BUT after trying 3 different docking stations with 100W PD Pass-Through I found out none is charging the battery.
If I insert the 100W USB-C charger directly to the port it's charging but not if used with a docking station in between. HP technical support just told me that charging via docking station is in general not supported by OMEN. Seriously? For 90% of the customers this would be the scenario to use Power Delivery, right?
Please let me know if there is a combination of charger/docking station working on OMEN notebooks.
Cheers, Lee

Its specs (from your link)
https://www.alternate.de/OMEN/16-wd0176ng-Gaming-Notebook/html/product/100003492
It ONLY has 1x RJ-45, 3x USB-A 3.2 (5 Gbit/s), 1x USB-C 3.2 (5 Gbit/s) which is NOT a Thunderbolt™ 3 NOR Thunderbolt™ 4 port. It is a hopeless USB-C port therefore it does not support Power Delivery NOR Alt Mode.
Regards.

Hi BH,
Thanks for your reply.
Actually it explicitly says there is a Power Delivery function via USB-C , please go to "Details" > "Weitere Informationen":
In addition, the USB-C port has the thunderbolt/PD flash icon...

To double-check I also contacted the shop where I bought it and they told me according to HP the whole "16-WD0000 Series" is equipped with:
1 USB 3.2 Gen 1.0 Type-C® mit Signalfrequenz von 5 Gbit/s (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge)
So anything I can do to use this USB-C port (which seems to be just a fake port with Thunderbolt icon) as it is advertised by HP?
