Product: Hp omen laptop

For whatever reason my laptop does not charge with the ac adapter I have. It's a 180w model and charges for a brief moment and then ceases charging. With a smaller charger it actually does charge when in hibernation mode but as soon as it powers up it stops charging.

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

 

I see you are experiencing charging issues using the adapter on the HP Omen Notebook.  

 

I have a few recommendations 

  • Try with an alternate charger with the same 180W power.
  • Try with a different wall outlet and check if it works.
  • Update your Notebook computer to latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
