HI,

I am wondering if my computer has a system restore function and how to set it up and use it.

Thanks.

Hello @Cubby1951

HP PC's no longer have an HP recovery partition that you would access via F11 like they did years ago. But there are other alternatives.

  1. Windows has its own built in Reset function that will recover windows itself... https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12415
  2. Or you can download the HP Cloud Recovery from HP that will reinstall every partition as it came from factory. You would need a 32GB USB pen drive... HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool (Windows 10, 7) | HP® Customer Support
  3. Or you can simply reinstall the vanilla version of Windows via the Microsoft Installer tool and an 8GB USB pen drive... Create media Windows 10

No activation key is needed. The system will auto activate when its connected to the web to search for updates.
