I know this thing buddy, i have already set the power to 30 not tried 25 because laptop may shutdown unexpectedly due to low power.
If your laptop shutdowns at 25 watt, then you might have harware issue.
The thing is that you are not understanding is that lowering tdp will drop the clocks too, this is not what you paid for.
1.5 lakh rs ,for running like 7 or 6th gen,the extra core are not helping anymore, because my fps drops to 45 .

@Evil9999
"laptop is useles if it has 1060 does not do constant 60 fps on ultra settings under 85C temps.no matter what the game it is"
Nah. My Omen GPU has never once gone above 82 degrees, and that is on Witcher 3 on Ultra and Far Cry 5.

i am talking about cpu, gpu heat goes to cpu,
i already told you have a working laptop,
but cpu should not go 90 plus, cpu will die prematurely,
and you have different processor,
gpu temp should be below 82 for long time usage unless you are rich.
82 and 81 are standard temps for 1060 under 100percent load, your gpu is working fine,if it goes above 85 or 90 its hardware issue,
i am not saying all these ,its after day an night research on laptops for one month

Thats real strange I can play wolfentien 2 on max settings (mien bien) if i spelled it right as its called in the game gfx menu. As well as shadow of the tomb raider on 30watts or 35. Destiny 2, Doom can be played on defualt cpu ppwer settings as well as most pf the rest deus ex mankind divided plays decently on default in fact it may play better on defualt than the 30 wat preset. I havent tried 35 but intend too. Deus ex is the only one with issues playing on max settings but thats mostly the games fault as it happens even before heat gets high. According to forums the game is buggy on max settings and you have to do a bit of tweaking on any system or just run it at medium -high settings.
And as the guy said you can always use comfort mode to ramp up the fans. I havent played ac Odyssey or origins on pc so I cant comment but as i said sottr plays great. I havent gotten that far into it since I have ot on console as well but im gonna try to play a bit more to verify ot runs as i remember it did before

which laptop you are using & its config?
are u running games in sys stock settings?
no rethermal pasting, undervolting, lowering TDP ?
If possible can you send screenshot of games/aida64 stress test (CPU & GPU) ?

what are the temps at ultra settings of SOTTR or other games ? both CPU & GPU. please share the SS in real time gameplay.
and did you do any thermal pasting?
and i run the laptop in comfort mode only all the time.

No repasting and yes stock settings seem to run most games fine some run better on 30 or 35 and some default. Nonundervolting. Yet. And i only recently started using comfort mode as an experiment till.i ran intonthis thread a realized its only a fan profile so can use it while doing whatever the **bleep** you want. Id be happy to send you specs during gameplay but i dont know how to moniter temps during gameplay so ill have to looknfor some programs that do that or if you have suggestions id be happy to hear them. I remember you stated that your temps where at a certain level during gameplay and it sounded like you checked the fluctuations after a gaming session so if I had to guess you know a problem I could use. Oh also i have a hp omen dc0030nr with a i7-8750 and a gtx 1060 (6gbvram) ver.

hey buddy, thanks for the response.
You can monitor the hardware( cpu temp, gpu temp, fps, CPU & GPU clocks, ram usage etc) while playing any game and it will show you on the screen.
I will tell you the steps:
1) download msi afterburner from here: http://download.msi.com/uti_exe//vga/MSIAfterburnerSetup.zip
2) install it , and while installing select both the options , afterburner+ riva tuner(for monitoring hardware)
3)after installation do the same as i have attached in the screen shots(step by step).
go to settings-> new pop up will appear -> then monitoring tab and do the same as shown in ss.
and in graph/proerties table select and tick (CPU ,GPU,VRAM,Core clock etc ) as your wish and must select the check box show in on-screen display every time for each component otherwise you will end up with nothing showing on the screen while playing.
and final step open riva tuner from taskbar and do the exact same thing that is shown in ss(don't change anything else) .
that's it play the game and it will show you the real time usage of cpu, gpu, fps etc
