I recently decided to upgrade my RAM cards in my laptop from 8gbs total to 16gbs total. I keep getting a Blue Screen and not sure what to do

What brand and memory part numbers did you install?

 

This would have been the memory kit I would have recommended for your notebook.

Crucial RAM 16GB Kit (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL22 (or 2933MHz or 2666MHz) Laptop Memory CT2K8G4SFRA32A is the ones i bought, i used the crucial website and DL their check thingy to make sure i got the right upgrade

If that is the memory you bought, unfortunately I have no idea why it didn't work.

 

I was thinking if you bought high performance or gaming memory, the timings are faster, and your notebook's BIOS has no adjustments for the memory XMP profile.

 

I reckon you should return the memory and live with the 8 GB it came with, unless you want to try and find the 8 GB memory modules listed in chapter 3 of the service manual.

You can check the secondary market to see if you can get it and buy it for less money.

 

I see some for sale on eBay for reasonable prices.  The first one is wrong...only 4 GB.

Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates the max memory is 2 x 8 GB.
