Hi @Raysuu004,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

When you connect an external display to the SuperSpeed USB Type-C port on your Victus by HP Laptop 16-d0017ua, the display will be managed by the integrated GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) rather than the CPU (Central Processing Unit).

This is because the integrated GPU is responsible for handling graphics output, including external displays, on most laptops.

The SuperSpeed USB Type-C port on your laptop supports DisplayPort 1.4, which allows for high-resolution and high-refresh-rate displays to be connected.

Hi Raysuu004.

HP does not offer the necessary specifications data to answer this question. However, posts on the HP forum and other online communities have shown that if the iGPU is not completely disabled on the machine, than it is the iGPU that usually drives the USB-C connected display on a HP laptop. For a Victus Gaming laptop, I would say that this is pretty much 100% true: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Notebooks/usb-c/td-p/8665192.
