When powered-up Victus laptop this morning, it goes to black screen with cursor arrow visible - mouse responsive, moving around the screen, but computer is stuck. Tried ctrl/alt/delete and it brought up task manager and can open help, but cannot get onto the internet. I cant right mouse click, nothing comes up. Device is plugged in so not a battery issue.
Thank you for your help.

I have had this happen a could of times when a windows update does not complete and gets hung up. The update could be a graphics driver that is not designed for your video.
Try booting into windows safe mode and roll back whatever update caused the problem. Be sure to run UEFI diagnostics first and run the window tool that checks for file corruption.
Check to see if there is a hardware problem: Watch this video.
Tap the ESC key after powering on. Tap it once a second after you see the LEDs on the keyboard flash. When you see the startup menu, press F2 to run diagnostics.
If a component fails during the UEFI test then Click here to check warranty
You need to boot into safe mode to fix the problem.
Click here to see how to start your system in safe mode.
Bring up the Windows Device Manager and look for errors
Sometimes you can just delete the defective device and reboot to have Windows find the correct one.
If Windows put the wrong one in then you need to roll back the driver to the previous one.
You can also run SFC or DISM to fix file corruption while in safe mode.
SFC and DISM are both tools that scan and repair corrupted system files. However, SFC uses a cached version of the files, while DISM uses the internet to download and fix the files.
Try the SFC first and if that gives a message that it cannot fix the problem then try the DISM tool.

Let me know what you find out.
