Hello there... My HP laptop has been damaged by water. Unknown quantities as it was not me who spill liquid on my laptop. It has been a week already, and yet my laptop still can't turn on. During the past few days, the charging LED will blink 5 times per sequence. And the Power button will light up but the LED light will disappear when I fully open my laptop. But now both LED didn't light up, which I assume is out of battery. I don't dare to charge my laptop as I scared it will make things more worse. I just upgrade my laptop recently. Is my laptop still usable? If it is not usable..
Will the RAM and SSD card be affected?

Yes. I have contact the HP toll service and explain to them about my condition. They even send me a quotation for the malfunction parts of my laptop. But the quotation stated that it requires RM5000+ to repair my laptop while I bought this laptop with the price of RM 5334 only. Is that a reasonable price?
And as I stated before, I just upgraded my laptop with both RAM and SSD...Will these two be damaged by liquid damage?
My parents suggested me to buy a new laptop instead of repairing it. Cause I also encountered an overheating problem when I am using Animate CC and Clip Studio Paint which spikes from 50 degrees Celsius to 90 degree celsius.

As I am a university student who is studying in Art. All my assignment and artwork are currently in my laptop and I didn't back up any of them. If possible, I would like to have my data back. But the quotation is really unaffordable by a student like me.
Is there other solution for it?

"And as I stated before, I just upgraded my laptop with both RAM and SSD...Will these two be damaged by liquid damage?"
@Tagashi_Chiro There is no way anyone can answer that unless the parts were physically tested first. None of us will know what was damaged because of a liquid spill. If there is liquid on the motherboard when electricity is flowing through the circuits, it will damage the motherboard. The SSD or the RAM may or may not have also been damaged. Usually not, but again, it would need to be tested.
You would have to remove the SSD or hard drive and connect it to another computer to see if the data can be accessed.
Not backing up your data is a hard lesson learned unfortunately.
You could connect the SSD via a USB adapter or enclosure yourself and see if another computer will recognise it.
Example...
As far as the cost of repair, when you replace the motherboard of a laptop, you are basically replacing the laptop already.
As your parents pointed out, you would be better off to simply buy a new computer now as you are not saving enough from the repair bill. Im sorry.
