Hello @Depp1
You can do it yourself, but anything you do will not be covered by HP warranty. If you have to send it in for warranty, you will want to replace the upgrades with the originals first. If you brake anything while attempting to DIY, you will void the warranty. Otherwise, you can take it to HP and see what they will do about upgrading for you.
You can use any M.2 NVMe 2280mm SSD. Not Sata.
For the ram, it can upgrade up to 32 GB of memory. Its best to have a matching set. But if you are going to only add 8more GB, you need to match the existing ram to ensure it has no issues. Download CPUz to assist with finding the timings of your original ram. https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
Example: You can use a tool like https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/pavilion-15-(models-15-ec0xxx--15z-ec0xxx... to find what they recommend. If you can find a link to Crucial in your country, they will probably have the same model ram to sell.

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c06619143
1. RAM: It has 8 GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB) now. You can upgrade to
(a) 16GB: add same existing 8GB to slot 2 or use the following compatible RAM
https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct8g4sfs824a/ct16164507
(b) 32GB: install 16GB each to both slots use the following compatible RAM
https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k16g4sfd824a/ct16164432
2. STORAGE: You can add M.2 NVMe SSD to your machine using
https://www.crucial.com/products/ssd/crucial-p2-ssd
https://www.crucial.com/products/ssd/crucial-p5-ssd
Or similar from reputable vendors.
One example (compatible drive)

For warranty
Warranty is a grey/gray area very hard to say in concrete. For new generation machines adding something is a work for Authorized Service Provider parts . You can add yourself. If something went wrong due to this upgrade, I think HP would not honor warranty.
Hope this makes sense.
Regards.
