Hi @ramashish1,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thanks for the model info. If the camera on your Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa0000 (680A2AV) isn't working, here are the most effective steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue
1. Check if the Camera Is Disabled with the Function Key
- Press Fn + F11 (or just F11) — this toggles the webcam on/off on many HP laptops.
Look for a camera icon with a slash across it on the key.
2. Check Device Manager
- Right-click Start > Device Manager
- Expand Cameras or Imaging Devices
- If the camera is listed:
- Right-click > Enable device (if disabled)
- Right-click > Update driver > Search automatically
- If it’s not listed, try:
- Click View > Show hidden devices
- If still missing, continue to Step 4
3. Check Camera Permissions (Windows Settings)
- Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera
- Make sure Camera access is ON
- Ensure that "Let apps access your camera" is also ON
4. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
- Restart your laptop and press Esc repeatedly, then press F2
- Select Component Tests > Webcam Test
- If the test fails, it may be a hardware issue
5. Reinstall Camera Driver
- In Device Manager:
- Right-click the camera > Uninstall device
- Restart your laptop
- Windows should reinstall it automatically
If not, download the latest driver from the HP Support site for Victus 15-fa0000.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
