I have been using this laptop for about 5 months and now the battery has been behaving in an absurd manner. Sometimes it shows battery full charge capacity of 832 Mah and after charging it to 100% it showed battery full charge capacity of 3936 Mah and the cycle count has increased from Cycle count: 217 / 1000 to Cycle count: 219 / 1000.

With 5 months or say 150 days, looks like you charge your machine on average around 1.4 times a day. My machine which is a 15.5 months old (or 470 days) HP 15-dc0071tx

As you can see charging cycles on my machine is only 12/1000 because I only use my machine around twice a month and it sits AC power 100% of its life to date.

I did a screen shot above on 24 Dec, 2019 when I noticed machine did not charge. I posted this on Inner Circle (sorry you can't read) and waiting for answer from HP.

In general, more charging cycles will reduce battery life and practically we have to replace battery after 1000 cycles.

Regards.
