my temp. are going upto 97c while gaming i tried to undervolt it with intel xtu upto -150mv but it decreased my fps drastically also i used msi afterburner but power limit and temp limit are locked in so i can only increase memory and core clock which doesnt seem right to me as i am new to these type of stuff. i have nvidia geforce gtx 1060 6gb and i have seen people playing games (like metro exodus) much better better fps and quality without any problem which is not even running smoothly on my laptop the only i have found on internet is repasting so kindly suggest me something which can help decreasing the temperature and have quality performance for the price i have paid for. whats the ponit of purchasing expensive laptop with high pwerformances but it can be used on that high quality. dissapointed with hp!!!

hei,
I have same issue. I try to solve the temp with an external cooler, but it reduce only with 2-4 degrees.
The best solution, try to reduce a little the power of the CPU from :
Battery icon near the clock / right click at / Power option / change plan settings (Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options\Edit Plan Settings) the go to Proccesor power management / maximum processor state / and reduce (80 or 90 %) gradualy until you temperature is more stable, under 80 degrees.
