Hi @cabreran9907,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

The Error Code 43 on your HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec1010nr laptop running Windows 11 usually means that Windows has stopped a device (often the GPU) because it reported a problem. This can be with NVIDIA or AMD graphics drivers.

1. Restart Your Laptop

Sometimes a simple restart clears temporary glitches.

2. Reinstall Graphics Drivers (Clean Install)

This is the most effective fix for Code 43.

Steps:

  1. Download Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU):
  2. Download the latest drivers from HP: 📎 HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec1010nr Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support
  3. Disconnect from the internet.
  4. Boot into Safe Mode:
    • Press Windows + R, type msconfig, go to Boot tab, check Safe boot, click OK, and restart.
  5. Run DDU to remove all NVIDIA and AMD drivers.
  6. Reboot into normal mode (uncheck Safe Boot in msconfig).
  7. Install the AMD and/or NVIDIA drivers from HP’s site.
  8. Reconnect to the internet and restart.

3. Disable Fast Startup

  1. Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do.
  2. Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
  3. Uncheck Turn on fast startup.
  4. Save and restart.

4. Update BIOS and Chipset Drivers

Outdated firmware can cause hardware detection issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
