OMEN 15 ek0556nd
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Is it normal that my CPU is always almost at maximum frequency (4.2ghz) even when I have no programs open in the background or I only use the notebook for surfing? i already have the power saver on balanced and windows 10 as well. This shouldn't happen because it's like it's set to high performance mode.

Hello thanks for the reply, but I think I have discovered the cause of this massive use of the cpu, it is the new Omen Light Studio app, because it remains open in the background and consumes too much cpu and I also noticed that during the games there is a decrease in performance FPS.
I solved it by simply closing the app from the task manager and now the cpu behaves quietly while maintaining a dynamic clock speed.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the CPU is running at the max speed all the time.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Are you facing any issues? (Like overheating or computer freezing)

Meanwhile, I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
