hello, im running into an issue where i just cant connect to certain wifi, in this case, wifi at my workplace. i simply cant connect to it while other devices like my phone or others pc can connect to this wifi so Im certain it is not the wifi at fault. But my laptop had no issues connecting to other wifi like hotspot from my phone, home wifi, university wifi etc. any help would be appreciated.

Please check your IT department at work first. Many  organizations won't allow machines from outside to access their network.

You said your other devices can. Can your machine "see" your work SSID ?

  • If Yes, please check IT Department, we can not break your company Network.
  • If No, your machine does NOT support 5.0GHz from your company

Regards.

appreciate the help but i was certain it wasnt the wifi fault and it was from my wifi card. sure enough, I managed to fix it by manually reinstall a different version of driver for my wifi card.
