@utkarsh6525, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error 0xA00F4244 typically means that Windows cannot detect your camera.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to help resolve the Camera App error code 0xA00F4244 on your Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa0000:
Confirm Camera is Enabled in Settings
- Press Windows + I → Privacy & Security → Camera
- Ensure Camera access and Let apps access your camera are both turned ON
Check Device Manager
- Press Windows + X → Device Manager
- Expand Cameras or Imaging Devices
- If you see your camera, right-click → Enable device (if disabled)
- If not listed, click View > Show hidden devices
- Still missing? Proceed to reinstall drivers.
Reinstall or Update Camera Driver
- Visit the official HP drivers page for your model: Official HP® Support
- Download and install the latest camera driver or HP Universal Camera Driver if available.
- Alternatively, in Device Manager:
- Right-click your camera → Uninstall device
- Restart your laptop to auto-reinstall the driver.
Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
- Use HP PC Hardware Diagnostics for Windows:
- Download from: HP PC Hardware Diagnostics | HP® Support
- Run the Camera Test to check for hardware issues.
BIOS Check (Advanced)
- Restart your laptop and press Esc repeatedly → Enter BIOS (F10)
- Look for Device Security or Built-in Device Options
- Ensure Integrated Camera is enabled
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
