@teoman1, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Update Graphics Drivers
Open Device Manager (Windows + X > Device Manager).
Right-click on Display adapters > Update driver.
Choose Search automatically for updates.
Update BIOS
Go to HP Support website and search for your model (Victus 16-s0000).
Check for a BIOS update and follow the instructions to install it.
Turn Off Hardware Acceleration
In Chrome or Edge: Go to Settings > System > turn off Use hardware acceleration.
Adjust Power Settings
Right-click the battery icon > Power Options > select High Performance.
Test with an External Monitor
Plug in a monitor to see if the issue happens there too. If not, it might be a screen or internal issue.
Run HP Diagnostics
Turn on the laptop and press Esc > F2 to run HP Diagnostics and test the display.
System Restore
Go to Settings > System > Recovery > Restart now.
Choose Troubleshoot > System Restore to go back to a time when the problem wasn’t happening.
Check for Windows Updates
Go to Settings > Windows Update > Check for Updates.
I hope this helps.
