I actually have two questions, but could only fit one in the subject bar. The first being: is there any stylus-pen that is compatible with the HP Envy x360 m6-aq100 series? I have an HP Envy x360 m6-aq103dx and have had no luck finding a pen that will help me create precise blueprints for an architecture class. It is difficult to make small lines and shapes with a passive stylus. My second question is: What should I do about a short battery life? My computer battery dies very quickly, about 30-45 minutes after turning it on. The hidden battery icon will say, for example, that I have 2 hours left, and the computer will die within 30 minutes. It seems like I am always rushing so that I can complete several classes worth of homework before it dies, or I am constantly near the charger.

Nice little computer - Product introduced Oct-2016
Product Homepage:
I am the messenger of all things disappointing, today. I am sorry for that.
- No stylus support for this model. Nada, zip. Rats.
- Battery likely needs to be replaced. First, you can try calibration and the component testing (which does not "fix" anything but might help you determine just what is going on with the battery). Lots of details are included later in this message - take the time to at least read the important information regarding the battery Recall program. Thanks.

Stylus
Active Stylus - Compatibility Document
Search the document for a compatible stylus and find additional information about stylus support.
Open document: HP PCs - Touchscreen Compatibility with Pen and Stylus
- If there is an HP Active Stylus available for your model, it should be included in the document.
- If you are unsure of the model series, click open the appropriate category (Consumer or Business class systems), peruse the list to find supported models.
- Pen(s) compatible with your computer are marked with a “check mark” to the right of your computer model, in the column(s) under the Pen name / description(s).
- Additional information can sometimes be found in Advisory Documents for your computer.
- The document is updated as new information becomes available.
- Take the time to read the compatibility document – sometimes your questions will be answered.
_______________________________________________________________
How to Search the Compatibility Document
- Open the document in your browser
- Click open both (all) categories (business and consumer) to expand the lists
- Examine the lists to find a match to your computer model
- Product Name contain an “m”? Consider this to be the same as the model with no “m”.
- Example: HP Envy x360 15m-bp011dx is the same (and uses the same stylus) as HP Envy x360 15-bp011dx
- Use CTRL-F to open the website search bar – type in the model type of your computer, leaving off the “HP” prefix and stopping just before OR just after the “dash” in the name. “Less is better”.
- Example: Spectre x360 15- or Spectre x360 or even just Envy x360 (no size designator)
- If a match is found, examine the results to determine if there is a pen for your model group
- Example: At this writing, matches for Spectre x360 15 include model groups: Spectre x360 15-ap0xx, Spectre x360 15-bl0xx
- What about the “X*” notation in the Tilt Pen column? The pen is compatible. Models marked with the asterisk have not been tested and may – or may not - provide full functionality.
- What about “xx0xx” as compared to “xx1xx”? Frequently these are both the “same” (both support the same pen).
- Example: Envy x360 15-bq0xx is the same as Envy x360 15-bq1xx
- If you are not sure, ask. (Know that response times vary widely – our community does not have access to the information and we, too, must ask to receive additional information.)
Not all pens require drivers (software). For those that do, the drivers might be found in the Website Support pages for your computer.
Open Support Home
Enter the name of your device
Select category Software, Drivers & Firmware
Open All > Peruse the list > Select, download, save, install Updates for "Pen"

Important Update: Expansion of the Battery Safety Recall and Replacement Program for HP Notebook Computers and Mobile Workstations announced in January 2018 – Additional Batteries Affected
HP urges customers to recheck all potentially affected products
In cooperation with various government regulatory agencies HP has announced an expansion of its worldwide voluntary safety recall and replacement program for certain notebook computer and mobile workstation batteries announced in January 2018. The potentially affected batteries may have been shipped with certain HP notebook computers and mobile workstations sold worldwide from December 2015 through April 2018.
The batteries have the potential to overheat, posing a fire and burn hazard to customers. It is essential that you check or recheck your battery, even if you did so previously and were informed that it was not affected.
HP’s primary concern is for the safety of our customers. Because these batteries pose a fire and burn hazard, it is essential to visit the HP Battery Recall website at www.hp.com/go/batteryprogram2018 as soon as possible and check your battery.
