I successfully installed my printer and connections to my wireless network and have printed from my iPad (my only source). How can I change the print quality to draft mode? I only see an option to print in color or black and white while using Air Print.
if it is not possible to print in draft mode, how do I set the default to print in black?

Hi,
you cannot set a print quality for AirPrint and you cannot set default settings on mobile devices, you must select yoru settings when you print.
While AirPrint do not offer such capabitlieis you may use HP Smart instead, from the app you may click the Settings toggle, select Quality and change it to Draft when you print.
Click the Yes button to reply that the response was helpful or to say thanks.
