8025 won't re-enroll in a different instant ink account

Two HP agents and four hours later, it was determined this 8025 I bought from another user, and whose instant ink account I had them de-register so that I could register this printer under my account--that it can't be done. This issue has to be "escalated" because there is no solution --except to purchase HP ink elsewhere outside the subscription service.
