Hi,
I'm having an issue with my black ink on the print quality diagnostic. It's almost got peaks coming in from the left. I've tried cleaning both cartridges, which support suggested, and performance has improved but was not perfect, so I went back and recleaned only the areas support stated. They're quite clear on which areas to clean and which areas to avoid. Performance has not improved. I have attached a scan of the Print Quality Diagnostic report.

Hi @Danny-r95,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP ENVY Photo 6234 All-In-One Printer's black ink print quality. I can offer some general advice to help you troubleshoot and improve the print quality.
-
Check Ink Levels: Ensure that your black ink cartridge has enough ink. Low ink levels can affect print quality. You can check the ink levels through your printer software or on the printer's control panel.
-
Alignment: Run the printer's alignment process. This ensures that the printhead is correctly aligned for optimal print quality.
-
Printhead Cleaning: Since you've already cleaned the cartridges, you may want to perform a more thorough printhead cleaning. This process is usually available in the printer software or on the printer's control panel.
-
Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest drivers for your printer installed. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause print quality issues.
-
Use Genuine HP Ink Cartridges: Using genuine HP ink cartridges is crucial for optimal performance. Generic or third-party cartridges might not provide the same print quality.
-
Paper Quality: Ensure you are using the correct type and quality of paper for your printer. Low-quality or incompatible paper can impact print quality.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
