My printer is HP DeskJet 3755, and the black ink supply level is still high but when I print, nothing shows on the paper. Can anyone help me explain why and how to fix this issue?

@Rainbowxueming, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
From which application are you trying to print?
Make a Black and Color photocopy on the printer and check if that works. If the printer is able to make a Photocopy fine, we can conclude this is not a hardware issue.
Have you tried to print different types of documents like PDF, Word or Emails and check if that prints fine?
Update the printer firmware
Click here to download and install the latest firmware from your computer.
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
Clean the ink cartridges
Load plain paper into the input tray.
Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences.
Depending on your version of OS X, click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
In the Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners window, select your printer, and then click Options & Supplies.
Click Utility, and then click Open Printer Utility.
HP Utility opens.
Click Clean Printheads , and then click Clean. A Print Quality Diagnostic page prints.
If the print quality is unacceptable, click Cleaning Level 2 to continue the next level of cleaning.
Refer to this document for more info.
Let me know how this goes.

Thank you for your detailed reply.
First of all, I won't be able to make a black and color copy. Second, I tried different forms of documents like Word, Excel, PDF, but none worked. Thirdly, I tried to clean the carriage and when I get to step 5 in your description, I couldn't find the "Utility" option when opening "Options & Supplies". What showed on my laptop is "General" and "Supply Levels". And neither of them has an option for "Utility", so I have to stop there.
Lastly, I tried to update the firmware and after updating, it works fine now.
Thank you for providing me different ways of fixing this issue and they are very very helpful.
Much appreciation.
Rainbow
