At this point, I feel I'm owed a new printer. None of your solutions have actually solved anything, unfortunately. The black ink just will not be recognized (despite being official HP cartridge). The hardware seems to be broken, and there's no way to get that fixed, apparently. Really disappointing.

Thanks for the kind reply.

Jay_g24 fixed it. Super fast support, got a new cartridge sent out and the mad house is a little less mad now the boys are caught up on their school work. Just grateful to be in a position to have a printer for them as a know a lot of families dont during lockdown.

Thanks for the support Jay 🙂

Same issue here,

going round in circles!   Error message, I’ve cleaned the color cartridge, tried the chat line, virtual), turned printer off/on.  HP Instant Ink message says they can’t send a new cartridge till the “fault” is fixed.  When I enter my printer type, the chat tells me it’s not recognized.  Despite being available on the drop down menu!!

arrggh!

I have a HP Office Jet Pro 6975.  Up until a couple of weeks ago my printing was fine.  Now, there is a cartridge error message.  I have been to a lot of stores and no 902XL ink available.  I asked Office Depot what was going on with the HP 902XL ink???  The person working that department told me there is a cartridge problem and HP is aware.  How am I to run my business with NO INK?????  Why weren't we emailed about this problem?  Your customer service is absolutely horrid and makes you go around in circles with NO ANSWERS!!!  Is this the last HP product I EVER BUY??  It's all up to whomever answers this message.  Right now, I am not a happy camper!

The link goes nowhere, it just says Oops something went wrong!

I am also having a cartridge error on an Envy 7155.  Black ink cartridge, have tried cleaning cartridge, printer as well as reset.  Also purchased another ink cartridge from Best Buy to test that out as I needed the printer to work that day, and am still getting the same error to insert the cartridge.  No issues with color cartridge, and can print in single color mode.

This is not helpful for my problem, apparently. The virtual assistant cannot solve the problem. Now what?

I have had the same issue, I am with instant ink for which I pay monthly. I had the same issue last year which was resolved by HP providing a new B&W cartridge. All I am told is my product is out of warranty I don't need a repair but if I want to talk to someone I have to pay. I just want to talk to someone rather than the useless BOT it "seems" like a scam. I will be taking to social media soon as I can see this a common issue on here which is never answered
