After I print, I often receive an error that says, "Check Your Account. A problem has occurred with your HP account and you will be unable to print very soon unless the issue is resolved. To learn more, open the HP Smart app or visit www.hpsmart.com and sign in to your account."
I subscribe to Instant Ink, and my account is up to date. No issues with payment. I've tried things mentioned in other support tickets, but can't get the error to stop appearing. I can clear it and print, but perhaps one day soon it will stop printing?

Thanks for replying.
That error message is definitely frustrating, especially when your Instant Ink subscription is up to date and payments are working fine.
Since you've already tried common fixes, let's go deeper into troubleshooting.
Steps to Resolve the "Check Your Account" Error
Sign Out & Re-Sign Into HP Smart
- Open the HP Smart app and sign out of your account.
- Restart your computer or mobile device.
- Sign back in and check if the error persists.
Verify HP Instant Ink Subscription Status
- Log into your HP Instant Ink account here and check for any alerts.
- Ensure your printer is correctly linked to your subscription.
Reset Web Services on Your Printer
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Setup → Web Services.
- Select Reset Web Services and confirm.
- Restart the printer and try printing again.
Update Printer Firmware
- HP regularly releases firmware updates that fix account-related errors.
- Follow HP’s official guide to update firmware here.
Let me know if any of these steps help!
Thanks,
Hawks_Eye
