I get instant ink, and had some cartridges shipped to me a while ago. I haven't had to use them yet. Recently I went into the HP screen where it gives a running record of how many pages I've printed. There was a notification that I read, and it said that it was possible I was sent a defective yellow and cyan cartridge and to install them and follow the directions in the email that was sent me. The problem is, I never got any email with directions or anything about defective cartridges.

I don't want to end up having a defective cartridge at the last minute that needs replacing when I will have to wait a while to get them in the mail. I don't even know how to alert anyone if my cartridge is defective and get a new one sent.

Do you have a copy of the email I should have received so I can follow whatever directions it contained?

Unless of course, my cartridges are okay and the email wasn't sent on purpose.

Let me know please?

Mary

@MaryC6, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I believe you using HP 910 Cyan and Yellow ink cartridges. If yes, there is an issue with the new lot of ink cartridges. If the Cartridge was manufactured in Malaysia and Warranty End Date is between April 1st, 2022 and September 18th, 2022, please do not use this ink cartridge.

Reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the replacement options for the ink cartridge. You may also contact the Instant Ink department in your region for assistance. The contact information can be found on the home page of Instant Ink. Click here

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
