I use HP Instant Ink. What happens if I start printing, let's say, 10 pages, but I cancel the print job before a single page is printed. Are these 10 pages added to my account, do I have to pay them?
I'm asking this question because today I saw a large amount of additional printed pages (which are not included in my monthly subscription) on my dashboard and it seems there are about 10 pages too many. But maybe it's correct, I'm not sure, the value appears very high to me. There was one cancelled print job with many pages.

Hi @King555,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
If you cancelled a 10-page print job before the printer actually printed any of the pages, those 10 pages should not be counted toward your HP Instant Ink usage. Instant Ink is based on the pages actually printed, rather than the number of pages sent in a print request.
If the printer had already printed one or more pages before you cancelled the job, those pages would count toward your usage.
Since you are seeing approximately 10 pages more than expected, I recommend checking HP Instant Ink > Print and Payment History to compare the recorded usage with the jobs you actually printed. Also keep in mind that the page count is not updated immediately and is generally updated about once a day.
If no pages from that cancelled job were actually printed, I would not expect the cancelled 10-page job itself to account for 10 additional Instant Ink pages.
Take care and have an amazing day!

Hi @King555,
Exactly. If the 10-page job was cancelled before any of those pages were actually printed, it should not have been counted toward your Instant Ink usage.
For now, I recommend keeping the page count under observation over the next day or so, since the dashboard can take some time to update. If you notice those cancelled pages being counted, or the page count continues to look higher than your actual printing, let us know, and we can certainly look into it further with you.
Thank you for coming back and confirming.
