My black ink cartridge is now empty. Instant Ink apparently didn’t pick it up and no replacement cartridge was automatically sent. I had to reach out to HP for help (which in itself was a painful and frustrating process) and they are sending a replacement cartridge which will arrive in 10 days. Not ideal at all. Why didn’t the system pick up that I was low on black ink and automatically send out replacement? I thought that was the point of the Instant Ink subscription. Maybe I missed the small print.

Sorry to hear about your experience. Do you leave your printer turned on and connected to the internet at all times? To properly track the ink levels the printer needs to be turned on and connected to the internet. The printer will automatically go into a low power standby state when not being used so leaving the printer on is not an issue with power consumption.
