Second hand printer - previous user unknown. Every time I want to print the display prompts me to connect to instant ink, every time I have to tap OK to continue printing. Already performed factory restore, didn't help. Need help removing the printer from instant ink.

Thanks

Hi @goro10,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

If the previous owner had enrolled this printer in Instant Ink, it has to be deleted from his account.

Printers can only be added to one HP account at a time. Work with the owner of the first account to use the features of the printer, or remove the printer from the first account before adding it to yours.

If you do not know the owner of the first account (you bought the printer secondhand or lost the account information), we will have to perform a factory reset on the printer.

However, since you mentioned that you have already done a factory reset, This might require one-on-one interaction to fix the issue via remote assistance.

I've sent you a private message with further instructions. In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
