Hey all, I have an All-In-One 8620 that was working great for a few years. I'm signed up for Instant Ink, which again, has worked for a long time. For a month or so, now the printer says it's not connected and printing will cease soon until it can connect and communicate with HP. I've checked the wireless connection. It's connected with an excellent signal strength, like it has been for years. Nothing has changed with the home environment. Printing out the wireless status shows it's connected with no issues. I just tried an hardline ethernet connection instead... printer displayed the ethernet connection is good with no issues... Again, when connecting to report pages are printing to HP, the printer says it's not connected and will stop printing soon. Looks like firmware is up to date. It communicates with my desktop, and my laptops can print to it wirelessly as well. Is this something on HP's end? If I can't fix this, what setting to I need to turn it to so it just prints without reporting (and I'll stop the Instant Ink program).

Thank you for the responses. I had already tried all of that. I did stumble upon the solution on another thread like this. Oddly enough, the internal date on the printer was waaaaay off. (It said it was 2027) Correcting that somehow synced back up with HP servers, and they started talking again. It was never an internet/connection issue. So weird. I had to go into the printer's on-board "website" through my browser and correct the date. Never would have guessed that was the problem in a million years...

Make sure your printer supports Web Services
Check for a Web Services or ePrint icon to make sure your printer supports Web Services.
Turn on the printer.
Look for a Web Services or ePrint icon on the control panel.
If the control panel does not have the icon or you are unsure if your printer is supported, go to Mobile printing solutions for more information.
If your printer is not supported, consider purchasing a new printer that has the features you require.
Check the connection
Make sure your network is working and the printer is connected.
Restart the printer, router, and computer
Resolve any error states by restarting network-connected devices.
Turn off the printer.
Disconnect any USB or Ethernet cables from the printer. These connection types can prevent the printer from connecting to the wireless network.
Disconnect the power cord from the Wi-Fi router, wait fifteen seconds, reconnect the cord, and then wait for the lights to display a connected status.
Restart the computer.
Turn on the printer
Turn on Web Services from the Embedded Web Server (EWS)
Open the advanced settings in the HP Smart app or connect to the printer homepage to enable Web Services.
Open the Advanced Settings (EWS) in the HP Smart app or type the printer IP address into a web browser address bar.
If a login or certificate window displays, complete the information to finish opening the EWS.
If a website security certificate displays, click Continue to open the printer homepage.
If a login window opens, type admin for the username, and then type the PIN found on the label located underneath or on the back of the printer, or the password set by the printer administrator.
On the printer homepage or from the advanced settings, click Web Services.
Click Continue, Turn On, or Enable, and then follow any instructions to turn on Web Services.
