Some of the new printers have a pre-made PIN for the EWS.
Although not (at this writing) listed in the document, your printer might be among those affected.

First time setup – WPS (router), “Find Printer Pin” > PIN Number inside carriage door for connection / EWS
Add: Deskjet Plus 4100 series
