HP ENVY 4527 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

For the second time my printer has stopped printing in colour.  I use Instant ink and cartridge has plenty of ink.  The last time this occurred I replaced the cartridge and printer then worked ok but has now again stopped printing in colour.  Is it likely that I have had two faulty cartridges in a row, or is there something else in the printer that is going belly up?

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that your printer is not printing in color, I am glad to assist you.

Did you make a copy and check if that prints fine?

If the copy quality is not good, follow the steps mentioned in this HP document to fix the issue:- Click here

If that copies fine and if you face this issue only while printing from the computer, follow these steps to fix the issue:-

This seems to be a driver issue.

Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer-related software.

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Remove all instances of the same.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.
  • Restart the PC again.

Download and install the printer using HP Smart app.
