Hi @AISSEC,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Cartridge Authenticity: Ensure that the cartridges are genuine HP products. The printer may not recognize non-HP or third-party cartridges correctly. You can verify authenticity by looking for HP security seals and visiting HP's Anti-Counterfeit website.

Verify Cartridge Compatibility: Double-check that the cartridge numbers match with the requirements of your printer model. Your printer uses HP 950/951 cartridges but make sure they aren't designated for a different model variation. Occasionally, cartridges with the same number may be region-specific or intended for a different printer series.

Inspect Cartridge and Printer Contacts: Remove the cartridges and check both the cartridge and printer contacts for dirt or debris that might be obstructing connectivity. Clean them gently with a lint-free cloth.

Reset the Printer: Sometimes, performing a printer reset can solve recognition issues:

  • While your printer is turned on, unplug the power cord from the back.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the printer and turn it on.

Firmware Update: Ensure your printer's firmware is up-to-date. Firmware updates can improve compatibility and resolve errors related to cartridges.

I hope this helps.
