Common problems for INSTANT INK, HP+ PLANS: INK AND TONER
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Instant Ink. Check out this link: HP INSTANT INK, HP+ PLANS: INK AND TONER. .
HP Recommended

My HP ink has not worked in some time and I have tried all of the tricks - to no avail.

I can connect to my printer via wifi, I can get into the printer web console and it shows it is connected to the internet (green check on ePrint).

I have an active HPInk subscription.

Yet, when I click on the link in "For advanced settings, visit the ePrintCenter Web site" shows

h30495.www3.hp.com’s DNS address could not be found. Diagnosing the problem.

DNS_PROBE_POSSIBLE

I have tried to ping this address from my internet router and it fails there as well.

I need to get my printer printing again before I chuck it out the window.

Any help appreciated.

Hi @sotherls,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that your printer appears to be connected to Wi‑Fi and the internet if the printer shows a green check for ePrint/Web Services. HP guidance says ePrint requires:

  • a wireless network connection to the Internet

  • Web Services enabled

  • access to the printer’s Web Services / ePrint features from the printer control panel or web settings

Since you can access the printer’s web console and ePrint shows connected, the issue may be related to the web link you are using, not the printer’s local Wi‑Fi connection.

What you can try:

Confirm Web Services/ePrint is enabled on the printer:

  • On supported HP printers, open Web Services or ePrint from the printer control panel and verify it is On/Connected.

Restart the network:

  • HP recommends turning off the router first, then the printer, and turning them back on in this order: router first, then printer. If needed, also restart the computer.

Run the printer’s wireless/network test:

  • From the printer front panel, print the Wireless Network Test or Network Configuration Page to confirm the printer reports network status as ready/connected.

Check firewall or DNS/network filtering on the computer/network:

  • HP notes that firewall/security software or network configuration can block communication even when the printer is connected.

Use HP Web Services / ePrint setup from the printer itself:

  • HP documents indicate the printer can show its ePrint/Web Services status and email/address details directly from the control panel when Web Services is enabled.

    I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.
