HP ENVY 5055 All-in-One Printer

Hello it’s been a very long time since I received a color cartridge. Like around a year. For some reason the printer uses black ink from the color cartridge, even when printing a black and white document. Like a resume. It only uses the black ink from the color cartridge. When the black ink of the color cartridge ends, the printer starts printing brown then doesn’t print back at all. If the color cartridge is removed then the black only cartridge kicks in and prints normally.  But again i haven’t had color ink for a while and need a replacement.
