I am finding the instant ink program is costing way more than buying regular ink, and I have to constantly worry if i'm going over my pages for the month - which is ridiculous when printing on a print you bought and paid for and Ink you have bought and paid for several times over by this point.

If I cancel, can I still print?

Welcome to the HP English Community --

The Instant Ink subscription has always been optional / voluntary.

Yes, you can print without subscribing to the ink service.

Things to know...

After the contract is terminated -- and regardless of how or why that comes about -- all Instant Ink / Subscription cartridges stop working.

What?

You never own the Instant Ink / Subscription cartridges.

All Instant Ink cartridges, including those cartridges activated as part of the service and all Instant Ink / Subscription cartridges sent to you while the contract is active, stop working after the contract is ended.

After the contract is terminated

Remove all the Instant Ink / Subscription cartridges -- these can (should) be returned to HP (free service

and

Purchase a new set of HP ink cartridges and install them in the printer.
