Hi @Sharpe126

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I'd be glad to assist you with the instant ink query.

It’s great that HP’s paper subscription is designed with flexibility in mind. Here’s how to pause or cancel your paper plan temporarily and reinstate it later:

To Cancel or Pause Your Paper Subscription

  1. Sign in to your HP Instant Ink account at hpinstantink.com.
  2. In the left menu, click HP Instant Ink, then select Update Plan.
  3. Scroll to Plan Details and click Cancel my HP Instant Ink Subscription.
  4. Choose “I’m cancelling temporarily” if that option appears.
    • If eligible, you’ll be able to pause the plan for a set period.
    • If not, you’ll need to cancel and re-enroll later.

⚠️ Note: Canceling your ink plan will also cancel your paper plan, since they’re linked. But canceling just the paper portion won’t affect your ink subscription.

To Reinstate Your Paper Subscription Later

  1. Go back to hpinstantink.com and sign in.
  2. Select your printer and click Add Paper under your Instant Ink plan.
  3. Choose the paper plan that matches your ink plan (e.g., 100 pages of paper for a 100-page ink plan).
  4. Confirm and enroll—your paper will be shipped when your printer signals it’s running low.

Let me know if you’d like help navigating the HP portal or choosing the right plan when you’re ready to restart.

You’re making a smart move by managing your subscription proactively!
